Foosball players in front of AWS branding

Well-planned conferences offer something for everyone and attend to the needs of conference-goers at every stage of the event.

In this photos a couple of young IT professionals unwind for a minute between events with a quick game of Foosball in the lobby just outside of the grand Expo Hall at Sands Expo Convention Center in Las Vegas.

These men are attending the AWS re:Invent 2019 convention.

In the house I grew up in we had a bar-quality Foosball table in our basement, so I got pretty good. Back in High School, me and Gersh used to go down to the Beach Comber in Narragansett, lay down a quarter and we'd play all night until we got bored of winning.

As a parent of 4 boys it's troubling to me how easy it was for a bunch of high school kids to get into a bar to drink and play Foosball. The drinking age was 18 back then, and I don't think the bouncers checked our fake IDs very carefully.

I'm sure things are much better now ...
